Reviewer Comments: The greatest gift an author can give a reader is a story that touches the emotions. Ms. Arana has done just that with this the first in her Sonoma Winds series.
Angelica Amante is a young gifted lawyer. When she is offered her hearts desire with a "fast-track" option to partner she wants to consider it but can't because it goes against her beliefs and her reasons for becoming a lawyer. This decision will affect her more than she thought possible. When all doors are firmly shut to her in New York, she does the only thing left to her. She returns home to the hills of Sonoma in order to find peace and direction. What she really finds is far more important and precious. She finds her hearts desire in a man named Antonio.
Antonio represents to Angelica all that is good in the world. He is hard working, proud of his accomplishments, and accepts life as it is and finds the good in the bad. If only she could find such peace. Through her good friend Poppy Angelica comes to terms with herself and eventually finds the path that she has been searching for. Before she finds this she must experience pain, loss, anger, but is eventually rewarded with love.
This was an amazing read. All of the characters in this story come alive on the pages. Ms. Arana is very lyrical in her prose and brings to life the beauty of Sonoma in a way that will transport the reader to this very beautiful part of Northern California. Ms. Arana is a truly gifted storyteller and one that I have no problem recommending. She is a shining jewel in the genre of Inspirational fiction's crown.
